Hello Spring, 2024!
The first day of Spring is the perfect time to begin a new blog. In Sweet Stuff I'll write mostly about happenings in my corner of the knitwear design world, sometimes about the shop, or the garden, and with a dash of travel news thrown in for spice. In short, it's life as I know it.
So what is the news on this first day of Spring? The big news is that I'm preparing to host a KAL which begins officially April 1st, featuring my latest design, the Angelica Cardigan. Here it is, on the needles. I'm about eight inches (20cm) along.
This is the first finished sweater, which was made with our own "Angel Sport" yarn, a two-ply blend of alpaca and merino. If you'd like to join, have a look at the Angelica Cardi Thread on Ravelry for all the information. KAL participants will receive a 10% off coupon, good through April 15, 2024.

- Yardage estimates for sport weight merino/alpaca blend or comparable: 917 (1030, 1137, 1213, 1320) 1465, 1583, 1709, 1827yds/ 839 (942, 1040, 1109, 1207)1339, 1447, 1563, 1671m
- A personalized version (through KnitWiz) is also available -- a good choice when substituting yarn or if you think you'll need to modify the pattern. You'll get the link for the early-access pattern upon signup, which is good through April 1st.
